The Giardino degli Aranci, or Parco Savello, is a small park in Rome, located on the Aventino hill, in the Ripa district.
The Terrace is located close to the Circo Massimo. It is very popular for couples because, especially at sunset, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Eternal City.
The garden, as it is presently presented, was built in 1932 by architect Raffaele De Vico, after which, with the new urban definition of the Aventine, in the area that the Dominican fathers of the nearby church kept as a vegetable garden, it was planned to allocate a public park, in order to offer free access to the view from that side of the hill, creating a new Roman belvedere, to be added to the existing ones of the Pincio and Gianicolo.
